Put up an alert at http://911parrotalert.com
and put up posters around town.
If not one claims the bird after 2 months or so, telephone a bird rescue organization and see if they'll purloin it in.

DO NOT tender the bird to anyone inexperienced.
But if you know someone who has experience next to parrots, and know how to embezzle care of them and own enough time and money to do so, they can pinch the bird in.
You could thieve it to a vet's office and possibly they might know of a customer who would be interested contained by having a cockatiel. Or, lug it to the S.P.C.A. or advertise on Craig's List for a free home. One of these suggestions should do it.

You can notify the police and the local animal shelter. The owner may enjoy reported it missing. You can also check at local Vets who may have a register of who this bird belongs to.
You might put an ad contained by the newspaper to find the owner.

Don't give it to freshly anyone ! i would first try to find its owner and see if they can identify it and then I would see if someone out nearby has great wisdom in dealing next to cockatiels and see if they are really interested you want to make sure that it is given to a biddable home where it will be taken precision of,not just given to anyone. right luck!

If you cannot foster the bird they will find a foster home for it until it can be reunited with its owner. You will fashion a very immensely sad character so grateful.
