Clipping toe nail and trust!?
okey i have two question here one is Im traying to get my budgies to trust me but their toe nail are so long i need to clip them, but i dont whant to ruin what i own done so far with them they are already intake in my appendage and perching on o stick so they will dislike me after cliping toe nails?
second interrogate is it easy to clip them do i involve a second person to do it? ore best pinch him to the vet and pay 20 box for respectively bird? can i clip them with a toddler cliper? i guess more than to questions ahh !! thank you!
Answers: Birds categorically hate to catch their nails clipped. On the other foot, they don't seem to hold grudges give or take a few it. They may sulk and be unfriendly for a few hours or even a daytime or 2 , but they will not hate you forever.
Clipping them yourself is a tricky press. If you do it just slightly wrong , you could in reality kill your bird! However, getting it done can be a bit expensive. You might telephone call some area pet shops and see if they will do it cheaper. Some do.
As be pointed out, you can file the tips beside an Emory board or diamond file to remove the needle-like points. That is safe and sound than clipping. But if the nails are really long they should be clipped.
You can find articles on the Internet on how to clip nail. You will need 2 associates, and will need to know how to towel the bird to restrain him. If you cannot find the instructions for these appointments, i can direct you to a yahoo group which has adjectives the needed instructions in their report library. I reflect filing them would be safer. You dont want to risk adjectives of the blood part.
