Should I separate my ducklings at night?

I had a couple of ducklings that hatched a little late and the mother will not take care of them. I currently have then in a horse troth together. There is only two. One of the babies is starting to loose her fir around her neck and face. Do you think that the other duckling is pecking this fur out while they are in the pin? They are only pinned up during the night and most of the morning and then we let them out to run around. I just cant figure out why one is losing her fur in that area. They follow each other everywhere and I have not seen them pecking. They are starting to get there feathers and I dont want her to have a bald spot. Please give me a some ideas.

no, it is only going thru an ugly molt, just wait
It is possible that the other duckling is pullin on it's fur around the neck. I used to have little ducklings like that too and they'd do that. Thought about puttin a barrior between them when you're not home? Not sure really, that's what i did. Good luck!
