Can you put Gouldian Finches and Canaries together surrounded by impossible to tell apart coop?

I'm thinking of putting a pair of respectively in equal cage. Will they do okay together? How different contained by size are they when full grown?
Answers: I do not recommend these specific breeds together in a round up. Gouldians are meek and gentle and canaries are assertive. More importantly, Gouldians are host to a type of air-sac mites that don't hurt them, but can result in health problems contained by other birds. Gouldians are two thirds the size of canaries, depending on the type of canary. Three reasons to consider separate cage or more research: Temperament, air-sac mites and size. But both kinds of birds are so charming!
The bodies themselves aren't that much different - canaries will be larger with a longer tail. Average Gouldian full grown is in the region of 3.5" Tip of beak to tip of tail.
But, if it's a breeding pair - they will probably be territorial/aggressive towards the canary.
Your best bet is to house them separately.
