I'd approaching to know how long does it whip for an African grey to consult. I own a 6 month toddler.?

Answers:    Hi, I hand feed around 50 to60 baby A.G.s and I hold found that they start talking around 8 weeks of age. When my baby's progress to a cage, I start proverb "step up" and they start saying that first and gimme gimme kisses usally comes subsequent. Remember if you talk slightly to a bird - thats how he is going to sound so cause it sound exciting. Remember when you stub your toe on the table and your jump up and down and sceaming in affliction and a swear word slips out - thats what your bird is going to say. So vote "I can talk can you fly" and brand name it sound chirpy and say " want ta buy a bird , I'm a barggin" and trademark it sound fun. don't bargain sad or you'll hear your bird mumbling and won't know what he's saw. Hope this helps you. Also Male and Female both chat the same.

PS When I confer my birds fresh food, I always utter "here you want some" and "mmmm that's good. adjectives my pets say that and when I'm ingestion anything thay say that too.
Depends on the bird. Some of them will never consult.

A lot of them are already talking at 6 months of age. Some precocious little buggers start research words while still being handfed.

Just save at it. He could start talking any sunshine now..

EDIT: Its not true that simply neglected greys don't talk. Some of them a short time ago never do, regardless of training
african grey WILL talk. and climb up-side down. and hang about for you to turn away to bite what he knows you don't wnat him to bite ... yeah.

I"m not sure "how long" but 1 year to 2 years? Talk profoundly to him -- especially in a road that associates words with objects. say aloud "water" when you clean the hose dish. "hello" when you enter, "goodbye" when you leave. Other well-mannered ones are "seed", "peanut", "food", "apple", "lets shift to t.v." are all apt things to repeat at your bird with consistancy if you want him to associate them next to actions. Ours never studious to say "goodby" but he say "i'll close you!" (in your cage) instead whenever someone leaves his room. my dad only said that ONCE when the bird be being bleak, and now it routine "goodby". Sometimes they learn what THEY want to swot, lol! Our bird also says "water" in a minute when we bring new hose down to him.

as well as discussion TO the bird, it's very perfect to talk to other ancestors IN FRONT OF the bird.

although my dad was a bird-owner his unbroken life beside a "whatever the bird likes" attitute, for some intention he decided the grey MUST settle and used to complain to me for ages that the grey wasn't talking. Well it took a long time but immediately the grey knows "water" and "endow with me a seed" and it says "hello" but with the sole purpose to ME and not my dad. he says other randome things but they enjoy no meaning to the bird.

yours is probably hoary enough to whistle. Try whistle a tune at it from another room, expecially when he makes clamour. It will learn that the tune way "contact call' and use that at you.

only greys that are vanished alone all the time or are not talk to never learn to consult, so you have nothign to verbs about if you hold good keeping of him.
"When will my Grey start talking?
It is not extraordinary for an African Grey to not utter a word until they are approximately one to two years. There are the exceptions where a grey may start discussion as young as 4 to 6 months of age.

Interaction beside your pet Grey will help him to *want* to confer ~ to be able to communicate near you. They start out in vocalizations; trying to nouns out the words, then in the past you know it they are chit chattering away. Speak to you bird with enthusiasm and within consistent terminology.

Note: There is no guarantee when you buy an African Grey that he will sermon. Some birds are big talkers, others will wallow in making noises hear in the house (microwave, touchtone phone, squeaky door, alarm, etc.). But in any event, the point of have a parrot is because of their curious moral fibre, their adorable antics and the love and trust they give us surrounded by return for caring for them."
