What about cat piss?
My cat (15 yrs. old) keeps urinating in the same area instead of her box. We've used the over the counter repellants, but they don't work. Any suggestions?

Get a product called Felway. It is a hormone and the cat won't go there if it can spell it. We've used it before and it works great.

Yes..She has a urinary condition that is causing that. Some kind of infection or crystals. Older cats usually get them. The vet can fix them..most likely pretty easily.
PS..I'd be willing to bet your vet bill that she DOES have this problem.
the reason they could be urinating in the same spot is because they smell the enzymes (ammonia) from their own urine, therefore they think its their litter box, now i can suggest you get a product like Natures Miracle, or Petzymes to get the odor out, and the stains too. you could also place her/his box on that spot afterwards, just incase it happens, i may also suggest you squirt it with a squirt gun when you think he is going to go in that spot again. good luck!
move her litter box to that spot. clean the box out every day, older cat can become picky about using dirty litter boxes. place multiple boxes around the house. nature's miracle is the best brand to get the smell out, comes in a red and white bottle, sold at petco, petsmart,etc.
A proper cleaner specifically for cat stains, such as Pet Zyme or Nature's Miracle, should be used on the stain. I would also highly recommend Cat Attract, it is a cat litter with a 100% guarantee. You don't need to use just the Cat Attract, but you can mix it 25% to 50% with your regular clumping cat litter. Also, make sure you empty the box daily. All of a sudden cats can become picky about how clean their boxes are. All of these items can be found at PetSmart.
Put the cat box over the spot for a few days till she gets use to her box. Then move it a little at a time till you have her going in her box where you want it.
i happen to think that "cat piss" can be quite endearing and it may increase the real estate value of your house
1 cup vinegar + 2 cups warm/hot water put in spray bottle shake well and spray the spot and surrounding area. Spray enough to get down to the padding under your carpet. Let sit for 5 minutes then take towel and sponge it up. Wear gloves(unless you like cat pi$$ on your hands) and try it in a small inconspicuous area first, don't come back cussing me out cuzz your carpet was ruined. It hasn't happened to me but the woman that told me this trick (she has about 12 cats) says it works but it ruined a small carpet she had. My cat stopped pissing on my kitchen rugs.
