My cat have a overt hole around the size of a quarter on the side of its vertebrae, no money, what can I do?

Yes there is. It sounds resembling it had an abscess and have popped.
Keep it clean, simply soap and water will do, also do not stop your cat from cleaning the wound unless it become obsessed near that.
Look for more wounds, it may have more than one.

My leading concern would be if she got an infection contained by it. Try to clean it if she will agree to you. Try rubbing it with hydrogen peroxide. But I assume it would be quite a fray. If there is any possible opening to at least ask a vet for suggestion I think you should. If she get an infection then you could lose her.
you can never be positive over the internet but as others enjoy said, it definitely sounds resembling an abscess. these are full of some form of pus, before finally any bursting from the pressure, or somtimes the pressure becomes too great and a vet or experienced being must lance (pop) the abscess themselves, you must not do this yourself.

This sounds like your cat have an abcess which has ruptured. They can be cause by various things , my cat get one when a stray cat bit him. It is really natures route of eliminating any nasty goings-on (see more technical explanation contained by link below!). The problem is if the immediately open wound become infected you have a really serious problem. Generally the treatment is not enormously expensive but I know that when money is an issue a trip to the vets can be daunting. I really strongly suggest that you try to help yourself to your kitty. Is there a local PDSA (I'm surrounded by England and it's a free vets service for populace on low income so not sure if you have similar), or you could name a vet and ask if they would be willing to distribute you an idea of cost and probably agree a payment plan?
Sorry I can't be of more back, I am sure you could find DIY treatments on the web but beside an abcess I personnally wouldn't risk the even more expensive and upsetting consequences.

My heart go out to you. As some how I have concluded up with 13 stray cats, and I just have the money to nurture them. Last week one of them showed up with exactly what you have described, only it be on the side of his neck. I found it impossible to find a vet or shelter that would facilitate me during my times of distress with frequent different symptoms with adjectives these cats. But back to your examine..If you have notice a definite "stink" to the nouns or if its oozing, its abscess. With an abscess the infection flows through their body like poison. He/she desires an antibiotic! Call several vets explain to them your story. Thats what I had to do. I finally found a vet that didn't charge me for the exam, and prescribed the antibiotic. $14 for a weeks worth.

In the past, I enjoy had appropriate luck treating my dogs with a betadine solution. Mix betadine next to clean hose down until the mixture resembles iced tea. Put the mixture in a spray bottle if you can catch one. Thoroughly clean the nouns of debris and antediluvian scabs with calmly with a handkerchief wet beside warm marine and spray the solution into the wound. More is better. The pressure from the spray is enough to help out loosen any additional driftwood and it is strong enough to bring inside of any shallow punctures. If the wound is deep, you will want to verbs it with a q-tip or something. They switch is to keep it verbs. I have also put neosporin resting on wounds like this (after the batadine) and have good results.

Well, I guess you really don't thoroughness that much about your cat because you allow her to step outside where she will draw from hut and she did get hurt and presently you are saying you don't want to help yourself to her to the vet. Why don't you cut off your Internet, cut vertebrae on your beer and cigarettes. Do you have satelite or cable, cut those stale. that way you will own some extra money so you can save this poor cat's enthusiasm. though I don't know if you are willing to sacrofice those things, that's why you are here and not at the vet.
how about thieve your cat to a no kill animal shelter and they will fix her up and put her up for adoption and she can find someone who loves her plenty to take proper thinking of her and keep her inside and catch her to the vet when she needs it.
My cat have a similar abscess when we got her as a kitten because of a misplaced injection at the animal shelter that we get her from. When it burst we took her to the vet.
The procedure for cleaning the wound has be correctly reported by everyone else before me. But the vet give us an iodine wound spray (http://www.drugs.com/vet/gentle-iodine-w... that we were supposed to spray twice a afternoon to keep the wound disinfected.
