What age does does a babyish manly kitten start to "spray"?

the reason i ask is ,my son give me a 9 week old kitten, and i already own a 2 year old womanly that has be to the vets and be done. so she cant have kitens. am a moment ago worried what age he will start spraying at as i have ring the vet and they have told me i cant enjoy him neutered till he is 6 months prehistoric. and am unsure at what age a male cat will start spraying? i own had a mannish cat many years ago when i be a child and i remember the awful smell it made. can anyone help me next to some advice please. thankfulness xx

Answers:    Usually they won't start spraying until 7 or 8 months.

AS long as you get him fixed BEFORE he starts spraying, you'll be fine. We've have all our males fixed at 6 months and NEVER have a "sprayer." 6 months is fine, but I wouldn't let him walk past his "7 month birthday" short being fixed.

If you are really concerned, phone up around and find a vet or spey/neuter clinic that will do it at 5 months.
He may start spraying earlier-I had a cat 5 1/2 months and he have start to spray and i got himt castrated sooner. If becomes a problem and is testicles are big satisfactory your vet may be able to do it earlier-its worth asking.
