If my cat is microchipped how to do I remove it or my entitle, to put up for sale it to another owner?

Is there anyway to neutralize the microchip or remove it so that it doesn't attached to my name/address info anymore. How can I procure this done?

Answers:    There is no reason to remove the chip. It isn't hurting anything. The solely information stored on the chip is the name of the company that manufactured the chip and the microchip number. To take any information, whomever scans the chip have to call the company. Just christen the company where your information is registered and update them you are no longer going to be owning that cat. Then give the topical owners the microchip number and company name and they can register the cat if they aspiration.

It sounds like you want your privacy but I would also muse about the benefit of the cat. What if the cat gets out and the unmarked owners haven't updated the info? I would remove my personal information from the company but make sure they have the name of the veterinarian that you used to treat that cat. They will own your cat's microchip information in their system. If the cat should be found, it will be traced fund to your vet who can contact you to see what you want to do about the cat. Then you can contact the current owners or take possession of the cat and next contact the new owners and find out what happen and if you want to give the cat rear or not.

Everyone has their own view but animals can't speak for themselves. When we are given the responsibility of animal ownership, I believe that is a life span long commitment, even if you must give the animal up. I believe it should be treated similar to an open child adoption. You still get planned updates on the cat .Some might think of this as an invation of privacy for the modern owner. I would too if they wanted updates more than twice a year. But I would also respect the rank of concern they are showing for the animal and that would make me believe that I be getting an animal that was capably cared for.

Sorry I made such a great big circle around such a small topic but I have a sneaking suspicion that first in language of the best interest of the animal and second in language of the best interest of any owners.
Contact the microchip company and explain that you are giving your cat to new owners. They will correct the information in their system. Your vet will also remove it if that's what you want. Don't do it yourself.
Take your cat to the vet and he or she should support you out with.but what ever you do do not try to remove it yourself you will spoil your kitty.
You need to contact the company that have the register for your cat's micro-chip, or give the bright owner the info or both so that it can be re-registered.
All you need to do is update the facts with the crucial agency, and with your vet. This happen all the time, so it's not something that will run very long to fix contained by the records.
wow i would ask the vet they may own to operate to get it out if you find out agree to me know good luck
