Cat Question?

I have a cat who for some reason which I can never figure out likes to rub his face and cheeks on mine and then starts purring. I heard that the do this to put their scent on you. Is that true?
Answers:
Yes. Your cat has scent glands along his jaw. When he rubs against you like that, he is essentially saying, "this is my property." It means he like you and he's planning on keeping you for now. :)
Yes it is. Both of my cats do that to me, but not my husband for some strange reason.
It is true and what he is showing you is affection
Yah, m cat does that too. cats do that to put their scent on you but it is also used to relieve some hormones that build up and stuff. i guess thats where the scent comes from. don't worry, you cat does not think you are a "mate" just a loved owner.
Yea, and most cats just like getting as close to your face as possible. No one knows for sure but it is very cute!
you lucky dog, yes it's true, but it means they like you too.
Basically, the cat is saying you're his biach.
