Is nearby a opening to (mildly) unadventurous a cat to clip its nail?
I be thinking about giving her some children's benadryl to formulate her sleepy and then clipping them. Has anyone done this or something similar? What would be the proper dosage?
Or what would be your broad recommendation for clipping their nail without any drugs?
Answers: My ethnic group has three cats, they're outside cats mostly, but we do enjoy to give them pills once within a while, and i think that the method we use will work for pin clipping too. you need someone to help out you do this.
Wrap the cat snugly in a towel, near only it's person in charge out. Get the cat so that three of the four legs are in a sort of crouch position, so they're folded and can't attain you through the towel. While one person holds the cat still, the other one can focus on clipping the nail. This goes pretty hurriedly, which cuts down on stress to kitty. Good luck, may your scratches be few.
Yes you can buy stuff at the nurture store. Ask a clerk there. Some stuff is for injection singular tho'. I have a dog I hold to sedate to trim toenails. I am experienced beside tranquilizers tho' so I give her a shot at home. She is psycho just about clippings! ACE is the short name for a fluid animal tranquilizer. Maybe a dramamine type med they use for animals with vehicle sickness. Ask your vet!
