Answers: im not sure why these society are comparing a cat to your life maxim that would you rather be locked up or put to glory cause its not like. for a cat 6 months is like 3 years and the cat doesnt know if its going to be consent to out ever again does it ? it would probably destroy the cat to be locked up for 6 months contained by the sense that when it would of been freed it would not be duplicate cat it would be anxious and depressed and such. openly you had a cat who loved to be outdoors and it would of hurt the cat alot to keep hold of it locked up for so long, at least this process it went to glory peacefully without have to go through that and it be up to you... i dont know what i would have done because i would dislike intensely to watch my cat suffer.i really dont make out why these people are comparing you to a cat though, its not approaching you would sneak out and bite someone??!
I think you shouldn't permit your cats outside and you're rather irresponsible for doing so. A quarantine isn't that complicated with proper supervision and time. I reason you sacrificed a childish cat for nothing, to be honest.

have you started the shots yourself, after they put the cat to sleep they will convey it to the lab to test for rabies, beside luck, you can stop the shots.
Please don't ask how they test for it any.
Since your cat does escape, you can not take a occasion on it scratching or clawing a child, unless you can afford a regulation suit if the child becomes sick.

Since you had to hold your kitty confined for 6 months this was your opportunity to spoil her and instruct her to NOT want to go outside. I'm sorry but I side near your kitty!

For an indoor/outdoor cat, half a year is an awful long time. She'd survive I'm sure (well, short rabies), but that would be awful hard.
Our former stray (so still an indoor/outdoor) twice have to have a cone on her principal from an ear thing she get and had to stay contained by for two weeks each time, and that be hard satisfactory as it was.
If she be actually competent to catch a bat, likelihood are it very ably may have be sick, which might only enjoy lead to her deterioration and suffering, so finish it now beforehand that happened may unknowingly be the best choice.
Makes me wonder though why they don't come out with a series of shots for them similar to what you have to hold now, and a temporarily prescribed muzzle surrounded by case they do find out or get taken out next to supervision.
sorry for your loss, yes i think it be the right thing to do. more than likley it probaly have rabies and would of died a painfull way. she's within no pain no more. keeping her within a cage for 6 months might of made her close-fisted, sorry again.

You could enjoy had the bat tested for rabies...did you not accumulate the body or was the bat released alive?? The bat may not own even been infected surrounded by the first place. As for your cat..this whole item could have be avoided if you had your cat vaccinate against rabies. If you are going to let your cat roam loose outside the smallest you can do it get it vaccinate. I am sorry to hear about your cat...but I hope this is a lesson to you within the future if you do bring another cat. If you seriously were not responsible adequate to physically keep her from getting outside you may hold made the right choice...although I do not think it would hold been cruel to hold her in the house surrounded by any way.millions of cats are indoor lone pets.
The quarantine period for rabies contained by pets is 14 days, not six months. If they show no sign of symptoms, they're ok. If your cat was vaccinate for rabies prior to being bit, after he'll be ok.
I don't understand why anyone would speak about you six months, that's ridiculous!
So is your putting a potentially healthy cat to sleep when standard quarantine is done at the vet for any suspect cases. What is going on in your city??

The 14 time quarantine is for the biting animal. If it is shedding then it would die to some extent quickly. So that would enjoy been for the bat not the cat. If you have the bad and get it on ice against the clock they could just dissect the brain to determine whether it be necessary. No cat should EVER be agree to outdoors anyway.
In my city it is a misdemeanor to let the cat out.
