How to Train Cat to Be Quiet At Nighttime?

Here's the problem. We have two cats. We enjoy recently be sleeping with the door closed. On a nightly spring, one of the cats starts vigorously swatting the door around 4 - 6 AM. Snapping my fingers seem to stop it temporarily, but then the cat is pay for at it half an hour to an hour latter. I had read that squirting river under the door be a solution, but usually when this happens I'm philosophical asleep and unable to like a shot get up to squirt. Is here some sort of motion detecting squirt bottle? I thought I had read that something of the sort existed. I have need of some solution to get the cat to behave because I cannot lose 2-4 hours of sleep a hours of darkness because the crazy cat is being stupid.

As for why we don't sleep near the door open, it's because the other cat is incredibly talkative around like time and keeps us awake if we preserve the door open. Please aid. Thanks.

Answers:    Oh you sweet dears for adopt two cats! I currently have two myself. One have been near us for 3 years and the other is a kitten of 6 months. I suggest tiring them both out with Turkey-based can food..it seems to work for mine and they return with their canned food around 11pm. afterwards they sleep through the night! Hope it help!
I hate to update you this but I don't think in that is an answer other than putting the cats within a room somewhere. Cats are nocturnal animals. They do get up contained by the middle of the night and cat siesta during the day. The simply suggestion is to shut them up in a room for the darkness.
