My precious furball was surrounded by the last of three portable trailers at the snuff out shelter, in the ultimate stack of cages, surrounded by the cage one up from the bottom. I leaned over and said, "Hi sweetheart, don't you enjoy a pretty face?" (And she did - weighty grey, like a Russian blue.) Wily little point that she is, she purred and stuck her paw out of the cage, which get her to the next round surrounded by the play room. In the playroom, I sat cross-legged on the floor. She come trotting over, jumped into my nouns, curled up, and did that hopelessly cute paw-over-the-eyes thing. That hermetic the deal. She get me to ignore that she be at least 5, have a chipped tooth, a scrawny kinky tail, and a floppy post-pregnancy belly. Yes, my fuzzball is the queen of shameless self-promotion. She's be a good buddy for 7 years in a minute. :-)
Answers: The best cats I've had are the ones who adopt me. My cat Lily headbutted me several times in the kitty cat room. I wasn't looking for a siamese. I needed a tabby. But she was confident, kept hopping up on the cat tree and getting on my eye smooth and headbutting me. It was close to, "Hey, look at me, I'm yours!" She was the most confident of the bunch. She headbutted the neurotic kittens within the room. She was by far the best cat I've ever have. She was next to me for 17 years, she slept by my side each hours of darkness, laid on the sofa and watched TV next to me, just the best! She died final month and I miss her dearly. I went to a cat shelter the other hours of daylight looking, but no one adopt me. So I'll keep going till that happen again.
Aw, I love stories like these. Whenever I see kitty that have some class of illness I a moment ago want to take them home and love them :)
