Question about Bengal cats...?
I am the proud owner of a 4 month Bengal boy. He is getting neutered soon but he needs someone to play with. I am going to maybe adopt a cat from a shelter and I have some concerns. If I get this male kitten before my Bengal is neutered, will that make him more likely to spray?? AND, if you know anything about Bengals, you would know that they are not normal and extremely active and social. Will a normal cat be able to handle playing and living with a Bengal?
Thanks!

I have a bengal (he's just turned 1 year April 25). I had him from 3 days old (abandoned) and yes he is VERY social and smart. He loves everyone and he gets along great with my other kittens. His favorite "friend" was the runt. He is neutered though and I would suggest that after 6 months. But they all are able to play and handle him fine. He is getting HUGE though LOL
I don't know a lot about Bengals in particular, but I have heard a lot of people advise others to get cats of the opposite sex. This helps to prevent some of the male territorial issues. I would wait until your cat is neutered just in case... even more so if you decide to get a female cat. You might be able to find another Bengal cat at the shelter... even so, all cats have different personalities. Some are more playful while others are more reserved. Many shelter workers could help you pick out another playful cat to befriend your Bengal. Good luck!
