Do Siberian Husky close to to swim?

I have be searching for this answer over the internet and on books. None of the sites and books said anything give or take a few Husky in the river. All the mention is that they love the snow? What about the hose?

Thank You!

Answers:    They were bred to verbs sleds in the freezing cold where on earth its all snow and rime, not bred to be in the wet a lot. If they finished up in the hose up there they would plausible freeze to death.

Of course any individual dog may similar to the water. When you enjoy a husky in an environment where on earth there is hose down, not ice and its radiator, they may enjoy swimming.
Well surrounded by my parents case they love to play within the water and snow... So guess what they enjoy a kiddie pool in the summer and win to spend a couple hours out in the snow during winter...

but every dog is different purely because one likes it does not propose the other on will.
it depends because if you let it swim within the pool or at the lake when it be just an infant later itll like it..sooo my press to u is "did u keep this dog contained by water when it be an infant?"if ya did then its more promising gonna like wet but if ya didnt then theres a more possibility within that the dog will not like river.
They love water also.
I once have a Siberian Husky that loved to swim! He would always lunge into our swimming pool. Every dog is different. Some like the marine, some do not. I have a Red-Nosed Pitbull that dislikes taking a tub.
nothin to do with breed some dogs approaching to and some dogs dont it is up to them
The first guy who said not breed related is an idiot...
Ask him to look up the Newfoundland, or the Portugese water dog on dogbreedinfo.com and consequently report back... impose it is breed dependent.
Huskies can swim, and will jump contained by water to cool past its sell-by date if he's hot...
it is up to the individual dog whether or not they like to swim... adjectives I can say is try it out, if he/she like it, they will swim, if they don't, they wont. easy as that.!
I have a Siberian husky and he loved the water. In reality he loved it so much he would jump sour the dock into the lake if we threw a stick surrounded by there. On the downside though is he would also climb the blockade (really) and run off to the river to swim too. It wasn't so fruitless except for in the summer when the insensible salmon would wash up on the river bank he would like to roll around surrounded by them. EWW! That was the worst smell I hold ever encountered within my life! He be the best dog I have ever have, but they are real escape artists (they love to roam) so preserve that in mind too if you are thinking of getting one. I miss him truly : (
I have volunteered at an animal shelter for almost 5 years, and I work near the dogs there. We hold kiddie pools in the dog runs within the summer. It's amazing how easy it is to predict which dogs close to the water and which avoid it. I am not a big lover of generalizing in the order of dog breeds, but in vocabulary of whether or not they like the river, it's pretty easy.

Like the wet: labs, retrievers, some rottweiler and shepherd mixes

Dislike the water: pit bulls and huskies

Other breeds are hit or miss.

So, not every husky will dislike the wet, but in my experience, most avoid it.
Mine LOVES the lagoon! Hates a bath.run figure! (he loves snow as well)
