Do dogs achieve pink eye?

I woke up this morning and my dogs eye had greatly of discharge coming out of it. It was adjectives goopy around his eye, and it's still coming out. Not a lot, but little bits at a time. His eye looks a short time red as well, could he hold pink eye? Anyone know any treatments?


Answers:    They get conjunctivitis, sometimes from dirt surrounded by the yard and commonly from hanging their head out the car skylight. Def needs a vet to prevent irredeemable damage and perception loss. Dogs are also prone to dry eye which if untreated leads to blindness. Eye problems are nought to fool around with. Different breeds are prone to different eye problems. I other keep sterile tears around to flush out the dogs' eyes when they come contained by if it is dusty.
