Answers: They aren't exactly ears, and they don't exactly hear... Fish have a lateral string (running from their nose to their tail fin). This lateral stripe detects even the slightest vibrations in the dampen. They don't "hear" noise, but they do sense vibrations (sound is vibrations). The vibrations are interpreted by the fish as electromagnetic signals that are sent through nerves to their brain. The lateral chain basically let the fish know what is moving, where it is moving, and what direction it is moving.

the answer is contraversal because fish do hold an ear like fucntion contained by them but their sense of hearing is pretty fruitless but a fish have a different sense that works similar to an ear to us they have electrostaic sensors adjectives around them that detect water movment at really presise accuracy that tell them whats over there and whats here that their eyes arn't nessacerally fascinated to or is out of eye shot

No they don't, but they do have a lateral smudge system. The lateral line runs from the muzzle to the tail. It can detect the slightest of movements around it, and that's why it darts away when you thump the glass (if that's why you asked the give somebody the third degree, please stop tapping the glass) :D
