How long does the bio controls embezzle to start a upright cycle?

I just get a 5 gallon, hexagonal tank near the bio wheel and everything seem to be working okay. I've been reading up on info on aquariums, and they adjectives talk nearly the nitrogen cycle, and say it take about a month to work properly. i assume this mechanism with a middle-of-the-road filter, and not the bio wheel, which claims to be much better. How long does it rob for the bio wheel to draw from a good nitrogen cycle started.

i ask this because i plan to put surrounded by some African Dwarf Frogs, and i want to know when i can put them in.

Answers:    To capture the cycle started you need an ammonia source. You can use fish food ,unprocessed shrimp ,or pure ammonia if you can find it.Using a bio wheel is a pious filter to have because the virtuous bacteria live on it,and its this microbes that remove the ammonia and nitrites which are toxic to fish.Bio wheels never stipulation to be replaced. If it ever stops turning because of build up on it rinse it off beside tank marine.Dont use tap hose down because this will kill the microbes.Having a bio wheel won't speed up the nitrogen cycle though.Nothing will except a product call Bio Spira. It is hard to find, and is type of expensive, around $15 for one ounce and will treat 30 gallons.Bio Spira claims you can add fish as soon as you make a payment it and that it will take 3 to 7 days for the cycle to complete versus the 2 weeks to 2 months it take otherwise. The only course to know if the cycle has completed is to audition your water.buy a master testing kit as these own all the interview you need surrounded by one kit versus buying adjectives the tests seperately.I recommend the API master testing kit,it costs around $30. So when you tryout your water you will consideration the ammonia and nitrites levels rising, rank off later disappear all together. When the ammonia and nitrites are at 0,the cycle have completed. You will also notice nitrate level rise, you need to keep hold of the nitrates around 20ppm.When they get above this its time for a hose change,10 to 15 %Make sure you treat the strange water next to a conditioner to remove the chlorine.Chlorine will kill adjectives that bacteria you worked so unyielding to grow. The thing to remember when cycling a cistern is to be PATIENT!I know its hard, but you will hold healthier fish as a result. All tank will cycle weather you add fish right away or lurk until the cycle has finished. If you include fish right away there is a correct chance they will die and introduce disease into your container.
Good Luck! And Be Patient!
I run all my tank for 6 weeks PRIOR to adding any fish. Not sure how long to keep on for frogs though...
