How do i look after my brine shrimp?
Answers: This is what you need if you plan on hatch you own artemia (brine shrimp):
-brine shrimp eggs
-1 gallon pickel jar
-pump, hosing and air stone
-aquarium brackish
-1 day out-of-date water
-brine shrimp web
Now fill the jar adjectives most to the rim with hose down, add exactly 10 teaspoon of aquarium brackish, and add 1/2 teaspoon of brine shrimp, and put contained by the air stone connected to the pump. For a greater hatch rate, keep the pickel jar contained by a warm nouns. In 3-4 days the water contained by the jar should be a orange colour. Now remove the atmosphere stone and let the hose down settle for 1/2 hour or until all the brine shrimp eggs are floating and shrimps at the the bottom. Take the pump hosing and siphon out the artemia into the brine shrimp web and give it a rinse lower than the tap to swab off the brackish. The shrimps will live only 3-4 days, so its best if you freeze them after 2 days, but 3 the most. Store the unused shrimp eggs within a air tight jar within the freezer. I've used brine shrimp eggs that has be in my freezer after 4 years next to a great hatching rate.
You can buy brine shrimp eggs on ebay and its cheap compare to local pet stores.
