Extremely Low specific gravity within contemporary cistern?

I have a alien 75g salt wet tank I started more or less 2 days ago. I put in around 50g of water/salt mixed 2 days ago until I get my live rock I ordered subsequent week. When everything was 1st full I tested the specific gravity and it be right around 1.022 I was super excited. The subsequent day and today, the specific gravity doesn't even register. The arrow item doesnt even go up (below 1.000). Is this because my hydrometer is jacked (it's brand new) or is something else wrong? I'm using a rena filstar xp3 and hold 20lbs of crushed coral in the bottom of the container.

Answers:    Can't understand where on earth your salt have gone, I suggest your hydrometer is faulty or it is sticking. I own had instances of brackish drying on the needle and making it stick, try running it underneath the tap to see if it frees up and next test your dampen again. Hope this works. I find that glass buoyancy hydrometers are more accurate.
