Downsides of diluted impeller?

My Rena XP2 impeller has be damaged from sand for going on for a month now. I enjoy been too inefficient to replace it, also because it's 25$. Other than noise, what are the negative of keeping this impeller in?


Answers:    i enjoy a Rena filster xp it had a full service today and have a damaged impeller my filter have been over heat and there is a round magnet piece i was told which have been worn away because of my impeller person damaged have i not replaced it today it would of over heated and stopped working get it replaced or you will be looking at buying a hot external pump
It probably won't pump the water through the filter as resourcefully as it used too. But if it still works I wouldn't worry too much. I don't regard as it'll hurt your fish in any overnight case.
