Black moor goldfish sick?? facilitate!?

my newly purchased (yesterday from walmart...) black moor goldfish have got a bright white fuzzy looking spot on a forked member in his tail. There is just one spot- and I've done some research on ick/ich/white spot and it doesnt look like thats what my fish have.
What do you think it could be??
oh.he also sort of sits on the bottom until someone comes up to the tank- next he swims around just fine

Answers:    That sounds terrifically much like velvet. Mardel make a very polite medicine call Maracide for this. You can also do a salt hip bath which is a proven method for many fish ailments, including this one.
Additionally, saline works extremely well when used within conjunction with medication. One of my fancy just have a mild case of velvet, and the combination cut the treatment time contained by half.
Excellent undertaking on doing your homework though. Keep it up.
I think this is a parasite! My fish have it too not to long ago, but you could separate the ones that have them. Then but some fish pills like rapid cure stuff, but don't put too much! Mine is blue, but I don't know if that helps.
