Eheim Jager heaters vs. Visi therm stealth boiler?

I just bought a Eheim Jager space heater and it sucks! The knob you have to verbs for adjustment doesn't hardly move. I have to use a butter knife to pry it up. I set the temp at 75 and the temp of the wet reached 78.5. When i press down on the adjustment button the wishy-washy turns off for a bit and next turns back on and continues to climb above the setting on the boiler. I can't take it vertebrae tonight because the LFS is closed. What should i do? Tomorrow i think i will return for a visi therm stealth. Any comments on this heating system?


Answers:    My visi-therm stealth heaters work great--I've got three of them. One for my 5 gallon, one for my ten gallon, and one for my twenty gallon. They're smooth to adjust and fully submersible. I'd recommend them. :)
I've had better luck beside Visa-Therm heaters than any other brand. Mine are all elder before the stealth label though one I recently broke, my criticize lasted 16 years. That's 15 more than my Eheim Jager and more than an Ebo Jagger I have. I got several years out of the aged Ebo-jagger so I'm not complaining about that one though I've have great luck with Hagen's Visi-Therm. I also enjoy their Fluval FX-5 and it's by far the best canister I've ever owned including the Eheims. You need at smallest a 100 gallon and preferable larger to use it though it's a great filter. For me Hagen's been the best smash for the buck all around.
