Tank size for convicts?

I'd like to hold 1 pair of Convict Cichlids within the smallest tank possible because of my fixed space. Is 25gal a big enough cistern to keep them?


Answers:    25g is only just fine. i myself have succesfully bred convicts surrounded by a tank size of 30 gallons, which is more than plenty. but just fashion sure you have somewhere to put the fry, because they WILL breed, and you dont want to gain stuck with 100-150 fry every couple of weeks. a short time ago make sure to hold plenty of hiding places and you should be ok. good luck..
25 gallons is plenty of room for a two of a kind, but be prepared to re-home the fry, or they will be harassed as the set of two prepares for their next spawn...
