I hold a masculine betta that i purely get three days ago..And he acting strangely. he's race around his cistern and

rubbing up under a cup i own in in attendance for him..I think he might hold a parasite. I changed about 20 percent of his sea yesterday..Yes it was conditioned. I have another female that died almost a week ago..And she acted the same style..I have no hypothesis what i'm doing wrong. I keep the hose down clean and do wet changes roughly every week. The water heat is about 80 degree constantly. and the tank is filter. So I have no belief what i'm doing wrong. Can anyone suggest any other things i might not be doing?

Answers:    It could be a few things. Does he have any white spots the size of a pellet of salt on his body? If so it's Ich. This can be cured from using Quick Cure.

Grab a flashlight and hold it overtop of him. Shine it on him and does it look approaching a gold or rust coloring dusting over him?
If so he have Velvet. You can use Malachite Green to treat that.

It could also be parasites resembling you mentioned. The symptoms of parasites are dart around his bowl & appears to be scratching himself on the sides of the bowl or objects or, nippy gill movement, visible thread-like worms clinging to the body; clamped fins, mucous covering the gills or body, the gills or fins may be eat away, the skin may become reddened. To treat this next to Formalin 3.
Good Luck.
80 degrees sounds pretty thaw. I would go to a pet shop and homily to someone who takes protection of the fish. This would be your best scource. It could be that you need to affix some sort of drops to the water...also, ask in the order of that temperature. Natural lake and other bodies of water, are not that reheat.
80 is fine -- how big is the tank and adjectives that stuff? how often do you do 20% and do you gravel vac when you do it? vermin often spend slice of their in the gravel. are you getting the temp past its sell-by date a thermometer? the thermostats on heaters aren't very accurate. profusely of times you can't see pararasites themselves but you can see redness (with a betta that can be hard). if he looks similar to he is breathing heavily or fast surrounded by addition to the rubbing after you might want to try treating for parasites.
This is a definate sign of a fungus on him. You may want to ramble over the fish store and ask for an anti-fungus medication for him. Check out www.bettatalk.com for symptoms and diseases.
Definately sounds like a parasite or a slime fungus...

I enjoy found the a treatment of "betta fix remedy" does wonders and is derived from a plant related to the tea tree plant... this medicine help releive stress and fights fungus for you!

your temp is fine, and perfect for you keeping a filter for your betta! you can IM me with any other question.
Doubtful it's ich, with constant 80 degree, but if it does have the white spots, turn up to 82 and give notice it. Though most lakes and ponds don't acquire this warm, betta come from ditches and small pools, collectively shallow water, where on earth it's that warm, and electric fire, most of the year.
Check other water conditions specifically for a bettas length.
it could just be that he see his reflection and he think its another male.
A lot of other ancestors have given suggestions on how to check for ich, velvet and so on... so I'll not reiterate that. I simply thought I'd ask if you kept the female betta contained by the same cistern that the male betta is very soon in. Did you verbs the tank up to that time putting the male within? That means not purely replacing the water... I be a sign of with hot river, some vinegar if needed. It's usually a good impression to perform this treatment on adjectives your tanks that are going to enjoy new occupant, especially if previous occupants died from weakness.
