I have not long bought 2 more molly's for my biorb 30l tank, the morning after i put them in the container i noticed 11 little guppies swimming around. i enjoy two guppies and 4 molly's, i didnt even have a clue any of them be pregnant let alone have baby fish. how do i transmit which one of my fish was the pregnant womanly and how do i look after the babies? do they get eat by the bigger fish? they look tiny
Answers: Seperate them. THey'll get eat. A female have a short tail. THey will have a dismal spot near their butt.
Hi nearby! The cheapest option is to buy a simple 'net' that fits inside your biggest tank, and hold the guppys to protect them within a nice little environment. It forms a cube shape using plastic struts, and has a network around its face's, forming a box like shape. They cost beneath a fiver and do the job!
I myself tried breeding them a few months pay for without any net etc and one survived! He hid trailing a leaf where on earth no-one could eat him - I name him lucky!
You don't have to do anything. Soem of them will draw from eaten. Some will survive. Just save feeding the cistern as normal.Besides once the guppies start coming they won't stop :-). Good luck
