If you be a betta fish would you be "proud" to christen this your home?

I got a pictus catfish for my community reservoir from my friend and it came next to a tank.very well when the pickty was within its new home.i took the rocks out and wash it really good..no soap.but bleach afterwards dechlorinzed it...then I put contained by 4 small net-fulls of black utra-reef sand (esablished in another betta tank) later I got a murmur 3i filter, then put my egyption tonb adornment in for her to hisde surrounded by, and planted the tank beside crypt wendtii(divided) , a small (regualr) java fern, a small thing of java moss, a division of an aquarium lily(small), and a peice of horwort.the cistern is 2.5 gallons (hexagonal)and she has it adjectives by herself...I feel kinda discouraging...so Im thinking about getting 2 aDf's (yes...i know the difference) *and no you cant convince me to leaver by herself.she looks kinda lonely living alone.*...it also have a glass thermometer and WILL hold a 7.5 watt Wal*mart Junior heater...so what do you estimate..you think she like it( I also upgraded her from a 1 gal).

Answers:    I would say that the betta's probably relieved, though -- depending on their personality -- they can't construct good community fish next to the right neighbors. For 2.5 gallons, I'd suggest trying 2 or 3 ottos (otocinclus, or little bottom-feeder catfish that stay little). That would be it. Bettas do well near chilled out bottom feeders. Though I don't have personal experience next to ADF's (African Dwarf Frogs, right?), I've heard that sometimes they can be for a while to active for the dominant Betta.

Bettas resembling to have their own space, and will check out a harmonious bottom feeder, but generally agree to them be.

Let me know how it turns out!

(I have 1 betta, 3 develop ottos and two baby ottos surrounded by a 10 gallon tank. Mix of inbred onion plant and plastic.)
Pictus cats get 8 inches. A 2.5 gallon container is WAY too small for him. Your tank sounds really pretty and really verbs, but he's going to get stressed out within that small of an environment.

I had one temporarily surrounded by my ten gallon when I was resiliconing my 44 gallon and he be miserable and hid adjectives of the time, now he's influential, eats a ton, and is growing in a minute that I've moved him to my 44.

Trade him into your LFS for something more appropriate for that size of tank.
