Guppy beside white spot guidance needed?
At the time i couldnt find any female gouramis as the petshops singular sold the males as apparently the females were too undesirable.
I treated them for white spot even though the ones i have picked had no visable signs of the parasite. I know they could still pass it as it lasts a while. I finnished the full course of treatment consequently put them into my comunity tank 2 weeks after this and they died not long after. My mannish then died along near a few of my other fish and now i enjoy a female guppy who be hanging around the filter and today she have visible white spot. I know stupid me but what do i do? should i put her out of her misery or what? I own removed her from the main container
Answers: What you need is a methylene blue treatment for the cistern. The whole container is infected that is immediately your problem.
Clean out your filters or replace the elements beside in them. Remove rocks or other reservoir objects and wash underneath the hot water slap, or as hot as the items can with stand since putting back. Remove 25% dampen now and replace next to fesh, try and clean the gravel at alike time of decaying debris as this harbour and breeds the germs. Add methylene blue treatment as stated on the bottle, do not overdose, under dose will do intensely little. Allow 2 days to pass and examine the fish, you should by very soon see improvement. Repeat the removal of dampen from the tank (25%) and make a payment more fresh water. Add 1/4 of the methylene blue what be stated as the dose for your tank. You will requirement to do this even if the fish does not survive, if all die consequently you will need to sterize the reservoir and rebuild it. What you can also do if the infection is desperate is to make a dilute solution of methylene blue, articulate 100:1 with marine. Capture the fish and gently paint the solution onto it. Quartentine the fish, but you will have need of to sort the main cistern out as I have stated above.
If she doesn't look similar to she's dying this very second, of late treat her. Putting her out of her misery won't clean the reservoir, so treat her until she looks like she's CTD (circling the drain) after.you know CTD...is all I can judge of. Good Luck
