Do red devels hatch eggs .?

Answers:    Yes they do, and rather slickly. The females lays 100's of eggs, preferably on a slanted surface like slate or sandstone or some other type of rock. It is my experience that they don't approaching lava rock, but that could have a moment ago been my fish. ? . The hose down has to be kept surrounded by the upper 70's in directive for the eggs to hatch. I have see some hatch in as little as 2 days but 3 is the average I'm thinking.

The tiny fry become free swimming within a few days and actually attach themselves to the mother and daddy fish to suckle nutrients. They are totally interesting fish to watch the breeding process.
