i have something like 8 small gold fish. Four of them are red and the rest dark. But i hold noticed that one of the ominous fish is turning orange. Is it ok?

Answers:    All little one goldfish are born olive brown to black in colour. This is a pure defence to preserve them safe and disguised amongst the weed when so many other pond mate would see them as a snack.

During their first year they feed on infusorians and small marine life, until they are faster and more in no doubt of their surroundings, and not as bite sized to other fish. At this point, they can start to show more interest in their surroundings and start to bear food from the surface. The pigmentation genes in their cell react near Vitamin D and Uv rays from sunlight and turn the fish Orange or gold. Some need a certain stratum of pigmentation cells and turn white and gold ingots whereas some turn completely white and others, tend to lack the pigmentation gene altogether and stay brown.

Breeds close to Black Moors have be specially bred from fish that lack the pigmentation gene, and so stay browny black, but immediately through amatuer breeding and crossing of different strains, there are panda moors, which are black and whire, and even golden Moors and red and whites.

Your fish are simply maturing, as some appropriate longer than others, and eventually all or most will turn ginger. Captive bred goldfish tend to be removed from their natural lifestyle within that they have no inevitability to hide away at birth and so are exposed to more UV buoyant as a younger fish and turn colour quicker than those born say within a pond or lake.

I have over a hundred born in my pond this year and since the juveniles are with the sole purpose a few months old, I net them out and placed them in a 68 inch aquarium for the winter, next to filtration and a good lighting system. In two weeks, almost partially have brightened up within colour and are turning to gold.
Goldfish sometimes silver colours, it's no big deal.

Being that you enjoy so many goldfish, I involve to let you know that you necessitate to get a bigger reservoir, or some of them will die soon.

You need a gallon of wet per one inch of fish. So, go obtain a bigger tank.

Cheers
Yes, your fish is newly fine. You probably have a 'feeder goldfish' (a Comet) and you bought them when they be young. ALL goldfish are 'grey' when they are first born, and Comets conveyance color as they grow ... some earlier than others. If you want a 'true' cloudy goldfish, you'll need to attain a BLACK 'fantail' or 'shubunkin' ... otherwise, your fish will turn gold eventually.
