How do you hold a fishtank verbs and green free!?

I have a colossal tank next to 5 fantails and i also have a generous elite stingray filter, and i do a 20 - 30 % hose change every 2 - 3 weeks and also use the greenaway and anti algae wet treatments however my tank walls are still covered surrounded by green sludge and the water have a green tinge. There is also a large snail within the tank also, but i appear to be unable to gain rid of this green slime. Can someone please help me as this is driving me crazy!

Answers:    are you over feed? reduce to every other hours of daylight.
also, how long is the light vanished on in your reservoir? should be a max eight hours a day.
if your marine levels are high-ranking, this could also have an effect...

i wouldn't bother using the treatments, your only just throwing chemicals that don't work into your water.
instead, join live plants, most eat the nutrients that create algae.
alagea eaters, they climb the limits of your tank...
