Answers: That would depend somewhat on the water warmth in the cistern, but assuming it's room temperature (68-72o F) danios, guppies, gold ingots barbs, bloodfin and serape tetras, hillstream loaches, and dojo loaches can adjectives do well surrounded by this. Just remember, all but the guppies are schooling and should be kept surrounded by groups. Also, many of these fish are kept contained by tropical tanks contained by stores, so allow them a little extra time to acclimate to the cooler river temperature when you bring them home.
