Answers: -Make sure you use marine conditioner if you're going to use tap wet, otherwise make sure your river is aged.
-Get a water conducting tests kit so you can check ammonia and nitrate rank of your water.
-Betta fish do not require seriously of space, but I think they are much happier next to a larger tank. Probably between 1-2 gallons is just what the doctor ordered.
-Make sure the temperature of your marine is between 76-80 degrees. Fluctuating warmth could stress out your fish and cause ick. I notably recommend getting a thermometer, otherwise just kind sure the water is at smallest room temperature.
-Stimulate your fish near toys and make sure you know what is conventional behavior for your fish by watching it. This way you'll know how to tell when your fish is sick.
-Feed your fish pretty much anything made for Bettas but FLAKES! My fish rejected them. I deduce bloodworms or hikari gold pellet work the best. Do not overfeed your fish. I recommend you feed him once a time.

i just get a betta fish in september!
dont nurture it flakes-get floating pebble food
ALWAYS remember to change it sea or it will get sick-because mine's eye get enlarged and i had to pass him drops
and only nurture him once a day

ohyeah-and if u go and get another betta-if urs is a guy get a girl becuz the 2 guys will clash and kill one another

ok first. bettas dont necessitate a filter. actually they prefer their hose to be still/ Basically just nurture it as much as the food label recommend, change it's cistern one a week, and you should be set. If your fish dies way hasty, then it may own already had a disease since you bought it. Some other fish get along economically with Bettas. DO NOT PUT FANCY TAIL FISH OR OTHER BETTAS IN THE TANK WITH YOURS!Research for a time and see what other fish will go resourcefully with your tentative betta. Good luck!
