Answers: I feed my saltwater fish spinach and they love it.
The fibers that trademark the spinach leaf are fundamentally tuff and hard for fish to bite through so it must be cooked..What I do is imbue a cup with some marine and add a piece or two of spinach and nuke it surrounded by the microwave for 4 minutes and then attach it to a clip on the side of the cistern.
If i was to guess i would bathe it with hot hose down, then possibly boil it to kill some of the germs
