Pet Crawfish~HELP?
On sunday, my brother be fishing, and he had some baitfish within a tiny bad, full of bloody river. When he got home (after the fish have been within it for about an hour) he put the comatose fish in the rucksack in the refrigerator. Well, I open the fridge, and the bag be moving, so I opened it up, and within was a crawfish, still alive, and trying to pinch me. He have been surrounded by there for over an hour, and be still alive. So, I asked my brother if I could have it, and he said no...so I bought it from him for $15. I know you devise I should set it free (which I will), but i payed good money for this piece and would like to preserve it for a while
So, I have it surrounded by a 10 gallon tank, occupied a little smaller amount than halfway full of partly lake river, half touch water (dechlorinated). He have a filter, gravel, a place to get on ground, lake plants, and places to mask.is there anything else I stipulation.what should I feed it?
Answers: He's a uncontrolled crayfish, so he'll know how to catch minnows. Feed them to him, live. Especially since you plan to release him, you do NOT want to 'baby' him when it comes to his hunting skills.
okay they actually provide those at petco. so what I would do is go at hand and ask them what to feed it. maby drop a cracker contained by there or something. it wont hurt him.
