Do Plecos shed their skin?
I can't grasp a straight answer on the web page.
He(or she) has a reeealy wiry piece of what looks like skin, and underneath the colours look more vibrant. I wouldn't hold even noticed it if I didn't view him all daytime long (lol) but just happen to see...

Answers: Pleco's are an armored catfish actually, not a true algae eater. They would not shed skin surrounded by the same means of access you see a reptile or lizard do that. If you are seeing color changes, it's most probable an indication of the pleco maturing or this could be an indication of desire to mate. More likely it's of late a maturity stage surrounded by it's life if in that is not an opposite sex pleco for it to shift colors on. Also most tropical fish will alter their color next to signs of stress as well. Check on your marine chemistry if you suspect something is wrong.
No they don't shed. Only crawfish, crab, lobster, and some shrimp shed their shells.

If it don't enjoy any of these then its probably okay. Hope your fish don't enjoy any of these problems.
