Plant interview?

i have a java fern but it have roots growing out of the leaves. i herd that they be suposed to fall sour and make a strange plant but how long does that take?


Answers:    sometimes it is hurried and other times its almost a full plant -- i am not sure what it depends on -- its probably just really hit or miss. sometimes the parent leaf even dies stale and then the youthful plants floats around with the unresponsive leaf. when it have roots you can help it detach if you want to root it. i own one right now thats still attached -- the roots are in the region of 4" and the leaves about 2" -- its a well-mannered sized plant and still attached.
