How can I leep my fiddler crab within her foreign cistern?

I bought a black moore goldfish and fiddler crab to put on my new 10 gallon reservoir, I left close to 3 inches of water out and hold a ladder for her to stand on, but she can't digit out the ladder and keep climbing up the silicon seals, I am upset she''l escape out the hole around the filter. I have never owned a fiddler crab previously and the lady at the pet store be being plan to me and only told me they needed to be out of the dampen sometimes... What do I do?

Answers:    You're right to be worried because these can be escape artists. Does your tank own a light beside a lid that covers most of the top? If not, you can make a cheap top near a piece of plexiglass or some plastic canvas from a craft store. Just cut out the nouns around the filter.

What is the ladder made of? A rough surface close to a rock or driftwood is easier for them to get a clawhold on, so they might be more ready to climb these.

Overall, I wouldn't consider the crab and a goldfish a good combination. Fiddlers should own some marine saline in their river, and when it molts, it will need to enjoy some rocks to hide surrounded by - the exoskeleton is soft at this time, and your goldfish may have a crab dinner.

If you could draw from another tank to save the fiddler separately, that might be best. You could use an airstone or submersible filter, then put a lid over the entire container to keep it inside, and also impart it the salt it should enjoy.
For crabs you only want around 8 inches of water beside big aquarium ornaments that come out of the water so they can climb up

Im not sure almost fiddler crabs but most crabs dont NEED access to the air, its simply better for them and will keep them alive longer. Fiddler crabs are habitually sold as freshwater fish too but are better in brackish sea

I wouldnt really want to keep them next to goldfish because goldfish create a lot of throw away. If you have a really upright filter it shouldnt be a problem

How big is teh goldfish compared to the crab? #It shouldnt really be a problem but it could be. I had a red clawed crayfish (cherax something) and first i have him in my tropical cistern. He decided thaty he like eating zebra danios, but just the back partly so when i checked one moring i was surprised to see just about 4 heads within the bottom of my tank.

After this, i approved to move him into a bowl with a few goldfish and i never have a problem with this until he scutteled up the airline and escaped from the reservoir. This is the only item i can think of as i havent see him since and this was ending year lol. Have search everywhere
My aunt have a fiddler crab and he climbed up the rock into her waterfall filter and he never jump out of it he just sit up there but your usually not supposed to put them beside anything because she had her fiddler crab beside a blue lobster and he ate it.
