I only just put my horse to sleep. Is 18 aged?
He was immaculately healthy within august and his condition seemed to turn down hill from in attendance. he began losing solidity at a very in a hurry rate and i took him to the vet. The vet told me that he was wanting nutrition and to put him on a strict feeding and safekeeping plan, which i did accordingly.
at the start of November, his condition had simply worsened and i once more, consulted professionals as to what to do. I put him on a high-fat high-cal low-protein low sugar diet[with plenty of fresh hose down of course]. i gave him counterweight builder, senior grains, and alfalfa/grass hay mixture, beet pulp, corn and some grease. i then bought him a nice winter blanket. The vet told me i be doing exactly what he would and by the end of the month he be improving visibly.
it be about one week into december and he begin to go down hummock again. i kept with the diet, but his condition hit its worst on christmas morning when he fell on some rime.

As horses age their digestive systems work harder processing food and may not be as potent in breaking down food for victuals. Many horses, as they age, may lose weight and require a processed nurture to keep cargo on. It looks as though you did all of the right things and the slop on the ice be an accident. You to be sure did what you could for your horse.
