Trick training starting at a childlike age?

Just wanted to hear your opions. the entity who i get my horses past its sell-by date trick trains all her horses and its amazing every one of hers can do tricks and she is helping me next to my little baby she said to start from light of day one, simply by lieing him down and sitting him down and constantly patting him adjectives over... im doing all this next to him and its going really well he is such an angel but he is basically so naughty he chases the dogs and trys to play beside me its so adorable but i dont want to encourage impossible habbits whats some simply stress free ways to make these habbits not turn bleak? to stop nipping and kicking?? and also opinion on trick training are very warmth? thanks:)

Answers:    I deem trick training is great.

I trained my big mule to lay down for me to get on him.

Things close to that tho, really shouldn't be taught till almost age 5 when their backs are completely solid and can pedal the weight.

I probably wouldn't initiate bowing till they were at lowest possible 3.

I think trick training is a wonderful article however, good luck!!
I trained my pony to lift a bow at the age of 2.
You have to respond at once to naughty behavior. Even in the past if you learn to predict when he will bite or see.

Say a sharp, loud "UH-UH" and re-direct his attention.

Clicker training uses positive reinforcement methods and is the best way to train only about any animal, especially infantile ones.
Get a clicker at a pet store. You can also use a whistle. Start by clicking at meal times so that he learn the click means food. Then click him when he does something you want. Treats should be especially small, like raisin size. Dried apple, banana, any fruit, really is candy for horses and they really relish it. Not too much though.
I think it's great that your training your horse at such an precipitate age, he's sure to be a great horse when he grows up. As for his bad traditions, be sure not to acnoledge them as 'good behaviors' . Try not to pet him and articulate its cute, (even though it may be). =)
thats cool good luck
It is sturdy, but you better dicipline him early so he will not own bad behaviour later. Be firm and be consistent
