Answers: little silly, little messy, sometimes fun. not harmful. its simply like staple polish, but for horses. use rubbing alcohol to remove.
all i've hear is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get sour, so if you want to show within a year of putting it on, don't put it on.
next again if you're doing a small fun show or just hack around go for it!

It looks nice and its fine for the horse.
It can get messy, but if you use it right afterwards itll be fine.
My friend used it for a Christmas show but couldn't get it sour afterwards - I think it sort of grew out within the end.
Probably you inevitability a special remover for it like near nail varnish ?
It wouldn't suit my boys so I've never tried it myself.
