Answers: That depends on his current strength and how fit you want him or how fit he needs to be. As long as he's getting regular turn out contained by addition this should be fine. I know owners who ride closely less frequently that that, so I wouldn't verbs. I would keep working him regularly until he starts to show signs that he's geared up to retire. Just because he's 20, doesn't mean he's "old". I know empire that have worked their horses okay into their 20's. Good Luck!
Considering he is 20, that is plenty exercise. Always use leg protection if you are riding hunter/jumper. Relax, youre doing basically fine! =]
