Can you nurture your rats turkey bones?

I was freshly wondering if there be any harm surrounded by this. I wanted to pass my rats a turkey bone to gnaw on for a thanksgiving treat, but I wasn't sure if it was safe and sound, or if there be any risk of bone splinters, etc.

Answers:    i give my rats cooked bones to bite on and have never have any problems in 18 years of rat ownership. I remove the bone after a sunshine so that ants don't invade the cage.
I'd instinctively avoid it.

Many times rawhides or cooked natural bones can splinter hugely easily, especially next to the sharp teeth of a rat.

Some people do nurture their pet rats turkey bones with some meat still on them as a once a year treat,

but most vet recommend against this.
