My chinchilla died this morning!?
Answers: Thats sorrowful.
Maybe take a picture of the limp chinchilla or if you have any other pictures.
Maybe epoxy resin them to card board and put it inside or infront of the cage so the other one can see it.
Then after a couple of days win another one and slowly introduce them.
Oh about getting a smaller pen...don't .
Let the other chinchilla remember his scent.
And keep some toys or something so the other chinchilla can remember him by too.

Sorry to hear around chinchilla. You'll h ave to give the other one extra attention.
I dont know anything nearly chinchillas but I wanted to narrate you that Im sorry. That sucks losing a pet..I had to put my husky down a couple days ago.
It might be smooth to just replace another, but the lone thing is he might not fiddle with a new mate easier. I suggest continue a little longer and see how he adjust and then move from in that.

Sometimes chinchillas will shift through 'depressions' when they are seperated from their friends. I have have this happen formerly. I think they are newly in mourning, similar to a person would. All of mine enjoy returns to their old selves soon afterwards.
What did your chinchilla die of? Because you do not mistake your chinchilla mortal sad when he/she is truly ill.
