Electronic pest repelling devices next to a rabbit?
A couple of months ago I get a dwarf rabbit, so I unplugged all my pest repellers in recent times in defence he would be able to hear them and they might hurt him. So, as of yesterday, I own my first mouse of the fall. Will it hurt the rabbit to plug the repelling devices rear legs in?
I ask because rabbits ARE rodents, of a sort.
Answers: First: to the inhabitants looking for the 2-points just because you answered: Yes, I know rabbits are NOT rodents as I'm sure the writer know as well. The "of a sort" I'm sure is referring to their audible range.
Unfortunately I don't have an direct answer for you but...
Do you know how the devices operate? If I'm thinking of one and the same ones, I believe it's with an ultrasonic current. Given the sensitive hearing that rabbits hold, I too would be cautious.
Perhaps you could plug contained by just one contained by another room of the house (away from bunny) and see if he has an aversion to it or the room? Obviously stay close to it so you can unplug it quickly if it seems to bother him. I presume they're more of detriment device then an "out to motive damage" thing - sort of resembling how we'd walk around the block instead or right subsequent to a jack-hammer.
Do you have a bunny savvy vet within your area? They may enjoy had the examine asked before.
You could also try contacting a local chapter of House Rabbit Society. The prevalent website is: http://www.rabbit.org/ You can link to chapter through there.
yeah something will crop up to the rabbit if the mouse goes in close proximity it cuz its a dirty mouse from the strreet an no rabbits arn`t rodents in any instrument there contained by the same group as within small animals but that doesn`t make it a rodent
