Does anyone hold any tried and tested ways to stop rabbits chewing cable?
My rabbit seems to enjoy an addiction to phone and computer cables (not electrical, he's smarter than he looks!) and chews them at any opportunity. I don't want to hand over him up but my bf has threatened serious consequences if he does it again. Anyone own any successful ways to stop bunnies chewing wires? One was tack to the wall but he pulled it off!
Answers: put the wires within a box, this also makes them look tidier, or put a obstruction up so the rabbit is prevented from chewing the wires

Try a little bitter apple spray on the wires. It won't hurt them or him, but when he go to take a bite next time it's gonna bite really bad. Use gloves when you spray it because I accidentally get some in my mouth once and it's really foul. You can find it at PetsMart or Petco. Good luck! =)
Oh god! Glad you asked this! I involve the same give a hand and my BF has said equal! He has already stopped her coming within the house which im really sad roughly speaking coz she sits with me on the sofa and enjoy a good groom but she does bite through wires!! electrical aswell!!
I be thinking of maybe getting her something specifically wire similar to and letting her chew that but they are SO intelligent!! Even if you got them their own flex it wouldnt be as fun for them! Only the ones their not allowed to chew essence good!!

yes i own a tried, tested, absolutly gauranteed way to stop it what you hold to do is keep him away from the cable.
The only 2 ways I own found to deal beside it.
1 Run the wire surrounded by 1/2, or 3/4 PVC plastic pipe, I tried running
them in that flexible clear tubing, chewed right thru the flexible stuff.
2. This have been the legitimate trick for me, I have strictly restricted him to the bedroom, where on earth everything is already rabbit proofed, with PVC.
That process the rest of the house didn't have that pipe everywhere, have been a natural life saver, his enthusiasm.
I tried that apple bitter stuff, just a spend in dribs and drabs of money.
get a dog shock cable and put it where on earth he is chewin .it wont hurt it but he will stop chewin on cables
You can put tin foil on the wires, i know this worked beside my dog when he was a puppy, he never chewed on wires again.
spray the cable with something sour taste but not dangerous to the rabbit.

Never owned a rabbit but my cat used to chew any cable including live electrical ones. I got those cable tidies but they individual protected short lengths so in a minute all my wires are run through split length of hose pipe and that is attached to the wall where on earth possible using plumbers pipe clips. Then I tried putting several liquids on the hose. I found that the smell of ginger oil furniture polish put her past its sell-by date but she actually loved the bitter apple spray from the pet shop. I ponder you need to experiment and see what works for the individual animal.
You can also find special boxing that you put the cable in but they aren't flexible so you may still obligation something behind the computer. Good luck!

If it is a house rabbit your house should of been rabbit proof past you got him really.
