Ball Python burned by below container oven.?

I bought an under reservoir heater a few monoths ago and it have worked fine up until about 2 weeks ago it get so hot that when i put my hand on the chalice of the aquirium it even burned me and by the time i realized that it be to late and my pythons stomach be burned about 6 or 7 inches of it. He shed the other year and now the burned nouns scabed back up but im still really worried. Should i put somthing on the scabs or will it make well up with time.? Answers:    All underneath tank heaters should hold a thermostat attached. They can exceed 120 degrees. Now that nearby are scabs, it's probably not something you're going to want to put ointments on. Keep the snake in black and white towel to avoid substrate in the wounds. Keep them verbs with a diluted mixture of betadine or chlorhexidine. It might run several sheds before the injury heal. Keep a close eye on the snake to make sure there's no subsidiary infection. Get a thermostat! If all else fail, a trip to the vet might be in proclaim to make sure that the burns are not too cavernous. I'll e-mail you for the pictures to see if they look very weighty. Burns often look worse than they are.

i would get some sav from a vet ... it will restore to health in time ... it may help yourself to a few sheds but it will heal ... the sav is for a precaution so the snake doesn't find infected...hope this helps...
