My california king snake wont chomp through.?
my snake is very small and ive have it for 4 weeks andonly fed it once. when i get the pinkys it wont eat them i tried wiggle them and everything. also i noticed it have like wrinkles surrounded by its skin. it looks smaller kind of. is it sick or does it freshly not want to eat. plz back i love this snake very much.
Answers: I hold three Cali kings. When they are small, sometimes it's tough to get them to guzzle. Try offering a live one (if it's a hatchling, use an extra small instead of a normal one). I don't recommend continuing the live mice since adults can be damaging to your snake. However, difficult feeders sometimes just stipulation something live to kick start feed for them. I have one that used to be afraid of the frozen ones I dangle in front of him, basically because it was dangle above him instead of him being competent to look at it at eye level. Keep your eyes peel for signs of shedding, though. If he's shedding, he probably won't eat until he's done. (About a week or so from start of mortal milky to actual shed.)
