To attain a guinea pig use to you,
1. leave him alone the first year you get him home.
2. Slowly introduce your paw.
3. Hold a treat and give him time to come up and pilfer the treat from you.
4. Let him sniff your hand minus touching him.
5. if he bites you, don't make it a big production. That will purely scare him more.
6. After a light of day or two of him being use to your mitt without freaking out... try petting him thoughtfully.
7. Once you can pet him without him trying to nip, slowly pick him up.
8. Talk to him. During the daytime, at night, whenever you endorse buy his cage, even if he's sleeping. Even if its lately a "Hello sweetie." Just let him hear your voice whenever you own the chance to cooperate to him.
When picking him up
1. cup him close to your body with both hand
2. kneel or sit on the ground.
This will manufacture him feel more safe and sound, and avoid injuries if you do accidentally drop him.
Just keep going approaching this until he's comfortable with you, and he'll be use to you within no time.
